What is GPT partition and MBR partition?

 Many of you may not know about GPT and MBR. They are partition structures. Set up a new disk on Windows 10 or 8.1 and you’ll be asked whether you want to use MBR (Master Boot Record) or GPT (GUID Partition Table). 

GPT(GUID Partition Table)

 It is introduced by Linux.

 It is a new and standard partition that replaces MBR. In GPT you can create 128 primary partitions. It is supported by UEFI(Unified extensible firmware interface). You can easily recover your data in the GPT partition. And also it will work on less than or more than 2TB of the hard disk.

Advantages of GPT

• Data can easily be recovered.
• It works on less than or more than 2TB hard disk.  
• In this, you can easily notice problems and easily recover them.

MBR(Master Boot Record)

It is introduced by IBM in 1980. It is an old partition. 

In MBR you can create 1 Primary, 2 Extended, and the rest logical. In case you will create 4 Primary then you can not create any logical and extended ones. You can only create 1 Extended and 3,2 and 1 Primary and the rest of logical.it supports BIOS(A basic input-output system). You can not easily recover your data in MBR. It works with less than 2TB hard disk. It can not handle more than 2 TB.  

Disadvantage of MBR

• As I have mentioned, you can only create 4 partitions in this partition.
• It works only on less than 2TB hard disk.
•  It supports BIOS. And you all know that BIOS is so old and now it is replaced with UEFI.
• In this partition, you can not know about data corruption.

MacOS 12 Monterey Features

macOS Monterey is officially out now you can download it on your mac if it's supported.

There are a few hidden features in this new OS upgrade.

Apple is working hard and doing different things than others that why Apple has a unique identity. Apple is famous for new inventions and creativity, performance and the most popular thing is security and privacy.

So first thing if you want to run macOS Monterey then you definitely know that your MacBook is supporting macOS Monterey or not.

• Hello on Screen Saver

Just go to system preference and open Desktop and Screen Saver. Now here you can see a new "hello" screen saver. You can also choose between the soft tone, spectrum, and minimal.

•  Colorful Cursor

We are using black & white cursor colors since childhood. Now it is time to change or customize your cursor colors.

Go into System Preferences then go to accessibility and after in display you can see Pointer. Here you see Pointer outline and pointer fill color. Now from here, you can pick whatever colors you want. It's all your choice.

• Convert Photo

When you airdrop any photo from your phone mac it shows up as an heic file. Actually, these are very good file types, high resolution, and high quality.

But from now in macOS Monterey, if you airdrop any photo from your phone you can easily convert just by right click on it and going to Quick Action and here you can see Convert Image. From there you can convert it into  JPEG, PNG, and HEIF in different file sizes.

• Quicktime playback speed

If you open Quicktime play you can now change the playback speed if you click the little side arrows on the play bar. You can choose anything from 0.5x to 2x speed.

• Compact Tab Bar In Safari

Safari is the most popular browser for apple users. Because of their performance and security. So that Apple doesn't disappoint its users.

Safari is going to look pretty identical to the way it looked before. If you want the new compact tab bar just go to safari preferences then go to the tab and here you can enable compact and separate. If you don't want the compact bar then you can also choose a separate bar.

• Shared with you

You may have noticed already in iOS 15 when someone shared a photo with you sometimes it'll show up in your camera. From now on this is applied on safari too. The link that your friends send you will show up on the safari home page. So you don't need to find it in your massages.

• Quick Note

Actually, this is my favorite feature it totally looks like magic. To open a quick note on your mac just stick your mouse in the bottom right corner of your screen and then click on that corner now you can see small quick notes pop. It's very helpful when you are doing something like studying or anything else and that time you want to write something then you don't need to open your quick notes from launchpad or docks. Just in a few seconds quick note is on your screen. Also, it is uploaded on your iCloud and has many features as well.

• Erase Your Mac

If you don't care about your data then you can easily erase all content and setting. Just go to system preference then select system preferences and click on Erase All content and Setting.

This might seem like a pretty minor feature but it's actually a very big deal. Before this, if you want to erase your contents and setting you had to go boot into internet recovery wipe your SSD, and then do a fresh install of macOS. This is a very difficult and a big deal most people don't know how to wipe their SSD and do a fresh install macOS.

• Memoji

This is the coolest feature of this upgrade. Now you can edit and customize your emoji as you want for your login window or login user.

Just go to system preference and open Users and groups. Now click on your profile and then you see memoji. Click on the + icon and from here you can customize and create your own emoji as you want.

         

After applying this whenever you log in on your mac if you give the wrong password then it will do some effects. That looks cool and very attractive. 

• Live Text Copy

Copying text from pics is like a miracle when you hear. But this time Apple has done something different and creative. Till today we are using some third-party apps for OCR converter, but with macOS it's a task of blink.

          

Now you can copy texts from the pic on your mac. Previously some android phones had this features.

• Focus Mode

Focus mode is a feature which we use in our daily life. Because while doing some important work we don't want any type of disturbance. Our work, study, or editing is our priority. We can't compromise with them.  

       

So from now, Apple gives you an option to customize your focus mode. You can edit it by your choice. Give your every focus mode a unique name by your choice. 

       

Just go to focus preference and click on the + icon and then custom and give your own name to your focus mode.

     How to block any website from your system?

 

• Open Notepad with admin right.

• Now from notepad go to File, then click on open.

• Now go to C Drive and open the 'Windows' folder. (I selected C drive because I gave install my os in C drive. So, open your OS drive.)
• After the opening, the 'Windows' folder now look for the 'System32' folder 

• And now open the 'Drivers' folder.

• Then open the 'etc' folder.

• Now you can see the here etc folder is blank. Don't worry.
• Now enable All files.

• And now click on Hosts file and open it.
• Now here type your website URL and with IP(Here you can see localhost with IP 127.0.0.1 )

So from now, you have to type the next IP like 127.0.0.2

• Let's block YOUTUBE. Then type '127.0.0.2 youtube.com'.
• And below again type '127.0.0.3 www.youtube.com'.

• Now save the file and close it.
• And now open youtube from your browser.  
• Now you can see The site can't be reached.

Now from this, you can block any website by just using their website URL.

How to change user password without knowing current password in windows 10?

• Now hit the enter button.
• Password is changed. Now login with your user and password.

        How to change password from graphically

You can also change your password graphically without knowing your current password.

• You just need to press Windows key + R . It will open RUN.

• Now type LUSRMGR.MSC and press ENTER key.

• Now here you see users and group.

• Now click on Users and now right-click on any user whose password you want to change.

• After right-click, you see the Set password. Click on it and type your new password.

• Then click on OK.

• Now you can see the password has been set  POPUP.
• Now your password has been changed.

Why 32 bit window os is denoted as x86?

 

Many times you have heard that someone has a 32-bit window & someone has a 64-bit window, most of us have used a 32-bit window. have seen 32 bit OS being referred to x 86.

Now the question is why 32 bit is denoted as x86? The x86 designation comes from an old Intel 16 bit processor standard. The 16-bit chips in early PCs used the 8086 architecture. The x86 comes from a line of 16-bit processors, named after the Intel 8086, like the 8086, 8088, 80286, 80386, 80486, Pentium, Celeron, Core, and so on.80386 was a 32-bit CPU and x86 usually refers to its descendants.
